Forrest lost in the final round, but won the silver medal for the USA. He made his senior debut in 2024 by qualifying for the US Olympic trials. However, he didn’t qualify for the Paris Olympics as he lost to Olympic bronze medalist Thomas Patrick Gilman.

However, Forrest didn’t give up. In 2025, the teenage sensation turned over a new leaf, winning gold medals at both the US National Championships and the Pan American Championships. Forrest also created history at the U23 World Championships held in Novi Sad, Serbia, where he won the gold medal in the men’s 61kg–freestyle category for Team USA. Unfortunately, Forrest missed out on a debut medal at the Senior World Wrestling Championships by a whisker.
