For the iPhone 17 Air, Apple is prioritizing design and aesthetics over the latest and greatest technology. For example, it will have just a single rear-facing camera. It will, however, be Apple’s thinnest iPhone ever.
Whether the iPhone 17 Air turns out otherwise be a success remains to be seen. It will, however, be the biggest change to the iPhone lineup since the redesigned iPhone 12 was launched in 2020. In the intervening years since then, the iPhone design has largely stayed the same, with the exception of the “mini” form factor being replaced by the “Plus” form factor with iPhone 14.
