Now’s your chance to catch up on The Last of us, The Pit, The Guided Age, and the other buzzy streaming shows you’ve been missing, with HBO Max uncorking a killer discount during Black Friday week.

You can score a year of HBO Max with ads for just $2.99 a month, an eye-popping 73 percent discount compared to the usual $10.99/month rate. The deal lasts only until December 1—Cyber Monday—so make sure you snag it while you can.

HBO Max, which changed its name back from “Max” earlier this year, is home to some of the most talked about streaming hits, from The Pitt and The White Lotus to The Last of Us, Hacks, Task, and It: Welcome to Derry.

You can also binge-watch old favorites like Succession, Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, True Blood, Flight of the Conchords, Insecure, Deadwood, The Leftovers, and Sex and the City. Another gem coming soon to HBO Max is Mad Men, which is slated to start streaming on December 1.

Plenty of blockbuster movies are available on HBO Max as well, including the new Superman film, Sinners, Materialists, Barbie, A Minecraft Movie, and Dune (both parts).

HBO Max’s Black Friday deal is for the Basic plan, which includes ads and gives you two simultaneous 1080p streams.

We’ve rarely seen an HBO Max deal this enticing, so don’t forget to grab it before time runs out on Cyber Monday. Also, keep in mind that once your 12-month savings period is over, your subscription will renew at full price, so remember to cancel before then if you don’t want to be charged extra.
