The Philadelphia Eagles have advanced to the NFC Championship game and will face off against the Washington Commanders (and several Philly alumni). Similarly, there are a few former Eagles in the AFC Championship game on Sunday night when the Buffalo Bills play the Kansas City Chiefs.

Here’s a look at the familiar faces the Eagles will see on Sunday, and who else will be competing for a spot in the Super Bowl in the AFC matchup

WASHINGTON COMMANDERS

The Eagles next opponent is one they faced twice in the regular season, and are 1-1 in those meetings — however, their loss to the Commanders in Week 16 was the game Jalen Hurts suffered a concussion on the second drive, and C.J. Gardner-Johnson missed half the game after being ejected.

Several former Eagles will be on the sideline for Washington on Sunday, including TE Zach Ertz, WR Olamide Zaccheaus, and QB Marcus Mariota — QB turned TE Tyree Jackson and CB Kevon Seymour are on their practice squad.

Ertz had his best year since leaving Philadelphia, finishing the regular season with 654 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. He’s been Jayden Daniels favorite target in the red zone, and has been effective finishing drives for the Commanders this season. In the playoffs, through two games, he’s had 51 yards on seven catches and one TD — he also had a huge on-side kick recovery to seal the victory.

Zaccheaus has similarly been used more in Washington’s offense this season, finishing the regular season with 506 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He was sidelined in Saturday’s Divisional Round game against the Lions with a groin injury, but ended up returning to the game in the second half.

Marcus Mariota has suffered his own share of injuries this season, but has been able to return as QB2 behind rookie Jayden Daniels.

BUFFALO BILLS vs. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

Former Eagles will be on the field in the AFC Championship game, including CB Rasul Douglas and WR Mack Hollins for the Bills — and DE Casey Toohill is on their practice squad —, and backup QB Carson Wentz for the Chiefs.

Douglas and Hollins have played for the Bills most of the season, and have been contributors in varying degrees. Neither is the number one player at their position, but they are important pieces of the team. Hollins really started getting some attention later in the season with his unique game-day attire.
